Pricing you can actually read
Identity verification pricing is often deliberately opaque — enterprise contracts, annual minimums, and a per-check rate you only learn after a sales cycle. We take the opposite approach: pay-as-you-go, per check, no annual minimum, with a clear breakdown of what each verification includes. Here’s how our model works and what to compare.
How we price
- Per check. You’re billed for the verifications you run — not a seat count or a platform tier.
- No annual minimum on pay-as-you-go. Start small, scale when you’re ready; move to a committed plan later only if it’s cheaper for your volume.
- Components you choose. A check is built from the pieces you switch on — document verification, NFC chip read, face match, liveness, AML sanctions/PEP/adverse-media screening, ongoing monitoring. You only pay for what you use.
- Human review, if you want it. Route borderline cases to our operator console for a human decision — priced transparently, not hidden in a bundle.
The real cost of a verification (what to compare)
The headline per-check number is only part of the total cost of ownership. When you compare any two providers, line these up:
Base per-check rate
The document + biometric check itself, at your expected volume tier.
Failed & repeat attempts
Are you charged when an applicant retries or a check can’t complete? This can quietly double effective cost.
Add-ons
NFC, liveness, AML screening and monitoring are sometimes priced separately — confirm what’s included.
Minimums & platform fees
Annual commitments and per-seat or per-tenant fees change the math at low volume.
Human review
Manual adjudication is a real per-decision cost if your flow needs it.
Data residency
Where data is processed can affect both price and your compliance obligations — we host in the UK.

What’s in a Zanyara check
Whatever components you enable, one integration and one decision: document verification (passports, ID cards, driving licences, residence permits — with NFC chip reading where the document supports it), face match with active and passive liveness, AML screening with ongoing monitoring, and optional human review — delivered by API, SDK and webhook, with an operator console for your team. ICO-registered, UK data residency.

Frequently asked questions
- How much does an identity verification cost?
- Across the market a single verification typically lands somewhere between about $0.50 and $7.00, depending on what’s in the check (document only, document + biometrics, AML screening), your volume, and the pricing model. We price per check with no annual minimum — tell us your mix and volume and we’ll quote it plainly.
- Is there an annual minimum or platform fee?
- No annual minimum on our pay-as-you-go plan — you pay for the checks you run. Larger or regulated deployments can move to a committed plan if that suits procurement better. We’ll always show you the per-check economics either way.
- What can change the price of a check?
- The main drivers are the components you switch on (document verification, NFC chip read, face match, liveness, AML screening, ongoing monitoring), whether you’re billed for failed or repeated attempts, and any human-review you route to. We spell these out so there are no surprises on the invoice.
- Do you offer a free sandbox?
- Yes — you can integrate and run test verifications with sample documents before committing to anything. Ask us for a sandbox key.
